Mission

Mission

The mission of the Bolles Lower School Library program is to ensure that children grow as global and empathetic citizens by becoming engaged and enchanted by print literature, growing as effective users of information and deepening their critical thinking and research skills.

Practical Information

Welcome to The Bolles School, Ponte Vedra Beach Campus Library Program!

The Library is located on the second floor of the main building at the Ponte Vedra Beach Campus. Our collection houses just over 7,000 books and periodicals and offers access to age-appropriate databases. The Collection aims to reflect the curriculum and the diverse personal reading interests and needs of our learning community.

Students in the Lower School:

  • Visit the library on a scheduled basis for literature-enriched experiences that connect to the curriculum, engender the joy of reading and cultivate mindful selection and use of books for research and for pleasure
  • Listen to stories aloud, experience the arc of literature, and participate in storytelling
  • Learn how to conduct a research project using a variety of print and digital materials in both guided and independent settings
  • Develop an awareness for the beauty of literature in life and the kaleidoscopic power of multiple stories
  • Develop positive habits of mind when using digital material.
  • Experience stories to learn about various character traits for personal cultivation and global growth mindset

I look forward to building a positive literary relationship with your family. Please reach out to me if you have questions!
